Siamese Katz was born in Bangkok in 2018 of the meeting between two European artists Arnaud Francelet and Frank Herrgott. Like the many influences and musical experiences of these two musicians/producers at the peak of their art, this collaboration gives birth to an adventurous and eclectic music: an alchemy of « classical-pop » melodies and harmonies supported by catchy rhythms on a background sometimes electro, sometimes cinematic. The playlist of Siamese Katz would certainly include such artists as: Vivaldi, Chopin, Rachmaninov, E.S.T., Chick Corea, Ennio Morricone, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Stevie Wonder, The XX, Daft Punk etc.

Faithful to the philosophy of jazz, which has always been renewed thanks to the influences and the mixing between all the musical currents, the Siamese Kats create a music that combines the flexibility of the improvisation with the exigency of sophisticated arrangements. Quincy Jones said : « The role of an artist is to find the sound that is not yet in the soundscape, ». The music of the Siamese Katz is a singular touch, a piece of the puzzle of this sound canvas that the Francelet-Herrgott duet offers to listeners in search of innovations and new experiences.

The still recent project of Siamese Katz (2018) has already distinguished itself on the stage of the International Jazz Festival of Hua Hin (Thailand) in June 2019. A tour for summer 2020 is in preparation. On the occasion of the release of their first single « Empreinte » on YouTube and on the streaming sites, the French duo collaborated with the Iranian producer and percussionist Dj Davani whose name is associated with the underground scene of the Thai capital. The quintessence of these 3 creative minds is perfectly illustrated in the first 4 opus that the Siamese Katz will make us discover this year.
