อิทธิพลจาก Tears for Fears, The 1975 และ The Strokes ทำให้ SEKI ผลิตซาวด์อินดี้ป็อปที่มีกลิ่นอายแบบชูเกซ แน่นไปด้วยฮาร์โมนีหลายเลเยอร์กับเมโลดีที่ติดหูทันทีทันใด จากวัยเด็กที่ชอบเทียวไปเทียวมาตลาดมือสองในกรุงเทพฯ ทำให้ SEKI สะสมเทปคาสเซ็ตเพลงเรโทรยอดฮิตได้เป็นคอลเลกชั่น มีทั้ง Bee Gees และ The Psychedelic Furs อิทธิพลเหล่านี้บวกกับสไตล์การผลิตงานของวงร่วมสมัยอย่าง Tame Impala และ Hippo Campus ทำให้ดนตรีของ SEKI อบอวลไปด้วยเสียงนิวเวฟซินธ์ เสียงฟอลเซตโต ฮาร์โมนีที่ซ้อนกันหลายชั้น และเมโลดีป็อปติดหู หลังโพสต์เดโมที่อัดเองที่บ้านลงออนไลน์ช่วงปลายปี 2564 Kaleidoscope BKK บริษัทผู้จัดการศิลปินและค่ายเพลงอิสระแห่งใหม่ ซึ่งมีทีมงานที่เคยร่วมงานกับค่ายเพลงยักษ์ใหญ่อย่าง Sony, Universal และ Warner ดึง SEKI มาร่วมงานด้วยอย่างรวดเร็ว และอัดอีพีเปิดตัวกันที่ Karma Sound Studios ในประเทศไทยเมื่อเดือนมกราคม 2565.

Taking influences from Tears for Fears, The 1975 and The Strokes, SEKI creates a shoegaze-inflected indie pop sound, rich with layered harmonies and instantly-memorable melodies. SEKI’s childhood trips to Bangkok flea markets saw him amass a collection of cassettes replete with retro hits by the likes of Bee Gees and The Psychedelic Furs. Coupling these influences with the contemporary production styles of Tame Impala and Hippo Campus, SEKI’s sound is dominated by new wave synth sounds, falsetto vocals, lushly-layered harmonies and instantaneous pop melodies. After posting his bedroom demos online at the end of 2021, SEKI was quickly picked up by new artist management company and independent record label Kaleidoscope BKK, whose team have previously worked with major labels like Sony, Universal and Warner, and put to work at Karma Sound Studios, Thailand, to record his debut EP in January 2022.
