What's up
Following the success of Cantina Wine Bar & Italian Kitchen in Bangkok’s rising Ari district, Soho Hospitality is opening its second branch in the busy street of Sukhumvit Soi 11, this time highlighting the wonders of Napolitano-style pizza!
The interior is a modern, industrial spin on Cantina Ari’s original underground wine cellar design. The rustic brick walls and wooden floors are stunningly complemented with tall glass walls and steel rims, allowing the space to be naturally lit during the day, perfect for casual lunch seekers and afternoon coffee lovers. As nighttime falls, the ambience shifts to one that’s intimate and romantic; a great spot for a cosy, candlelit Italian aperitivo and dinner in town!
The highlight of Cantina’s Pizzeria is the unique style of pizza originating from Naples, Italy – where pizza was first invented and became a part of Italy’s cultural heritage. The focus is on fresh, naturally fermented Pizza dough made daily – kneaded and raised slowly with love for 48 hours. In true Napoli fashion, the ingredients used are kept simple, all-natural and high quality. The toppings are layered on top of an overflow of tomato sauce that keeps the thin and soft crust nice and chewy, though perfectly charred from the high-temperature oven. In addition to the Napolitano pizzas, fresh homemade pastas, risottos, bruschetta, burrata, carpaccio and more Italian classics are also available. Bringing you the best of what Italy has to offer right here in Bangkok!
The beverage selection is undoubtedly Italian with a wide range of wines, cocktails, aperitifs and digestifs. The wine list features some of Italy’s best originating from various regions in the country, such as the elegant Barolo from Piemonte and powerful Amarone from the Valpolicella area. The cocktail list – made by Soho Hospitality’s Group Mixologist, Davide Sambo – includes a selection of classics and twists using truly Italian spirits such as Vermouth, Campari and Aperol. Negroni, being Italy’s iconic cocktail, also has a special section in our drinks menu, along with quintessential aperitifs and digestifs such as Fernett, Limoncello and Amaro.
